If yumex is no longer available, please advise. A few minutes ago when 'dnfdragora' failed for CentOS 8.3, I tried: # yumex --root bash: yumex: command not found... NetworkManager: Remove one of two DHCP leases

I forgot to release the DHCP IPv4 lease on a PC before I deployed it at the customer site. So now the box has two leases for a couple days, when the old lease expires. What's the proper way to force the unwanted additional lease to expire immediately? It's mucking up my resolv.conf with the old DNS search order and servers added to the customer's. I checked the /var/lib/NetworkManager/dhclient6-*.lease file and see my own IPv6 configuration and nothing from the customer, which explains why I can't connect to resolved IPv6 addresses. How can I flush that? (There are two identical lease6 records but both are to my home LAN. Why are there two copies?)

Hi, Does anyone have some instructions on setting up a CentOS server as mirror for Debian and Ubuntu distributions? Subject: What is the best (and free) Linux softphone? Good day from Singapore, I already have an Asterisk-based FreePBX VoIP IP PBX SIP server virtual appliance (VirtualBox). I do not want to spend so much money on buying physical IP phones. Recently, I migrated my Fortigate 60D firewall, Huawei E3276s-920 4G LTE USB modem, FreePBX virtual appliance (on laptop) and 1 unit of Cisco 7960 IP phone from my home to the community hostel. I cannot migrate too many hardware to the community hostel even though I have 4 Cisco 7960 IP phones. As stated earlier, I do not want to spend so much money on buying physical IP phones. I am trying to save as much money as possible as I live in extreme poverty in Singapore. My proposed solution is to install many Linux virtual machines on my laptop. Each Linux virtual machine will have a softphone. So my ultimate question is: What is the best (and free) Linux softphone available? Do I have many choices? I am looking forward to your reply. ipforwarding between interfaces and firewall rules

Hello, I have a machine I am running Centos/RHEL 8 on. there are two interfaces and I want to forward all traffic between those interfaces (for the src and dst in the subnet a wireless device is on). One interface is connected to a switch, WAN side. The other ethernet port has an access point, connected wired. I did turn on ipforwarding, and thought I needed only two firewall rules. sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 firewall-cmd --direct --add-rule ipv4 filter FORWARD 0 -o eno1 -i enp0s20u4u1 -j ACCEPT firewall-cmd --direct --add-rule ipv4 filter FORWARD 0 -o enp0s20u4u1 -i eno1 -j ACCEPT However, when I try to do a DNS lookup, it looks like it is being blocked/stopped by the firewall, because when I stop the firewall, it just seems to work. With the firewall up and running, however I can ping an ip address. for example; if I do "ping www.google.com" I get a "ping www.google.com: Name or service not known" If I use an IP address (from www.google.com), it just works. what am I missing (probably a rule in the firewall?) thanks, Ron
