The LSI SAS SNMP module is an add-on to the RH SNMP module. It provides access to controller counters that would otherwise not be available.

I run it on my Dell/LSI boxes to monitor controller throughput history for capacity planning and such.

Hey Ross, Well, they say it's only supported on a stock 5.2 kernel so LSI won't help. It's not working, when I try to start the lsi service, it stops immediately after? Also, when an snmpwalk is ran, it gives a shared mem error?

You mention the LSI SAS card in your original message, but above you seem to be using the MegaRAID tools. MegaRAID is only for the MegaRAID products (or OEM versions like Dell PERC6's). If you have an SAS (eg. Dell SAS6i/R) then you need to be looking at the tools for this (eg. see LSI website for the LSISAS1068E).
