Hi
I have a trouble with centOS 4
The process kswapd0 eat almost all my memory space, and also this process get almost 100 percent of cpu, and the box go slow
I have read that this problem is fix when the kernel is upgrade but I do not know hot to update my kernel. when I type yum list \kernel* I get the following list:
[xxx@xxxxxx]# yum list \kernel* Setting up Repos addons 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00

update 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00

I know that i have to update kernel.i686 2.6.9-5.0.5.EL and kernel-smp.i686 2.6.9-5.0.5.EL but I am not sure what are the steps or instructions that I should follow to get it

Reboot after you update the kernel for the changes to take effect
