Apparently, a BIOS setting of "last power state" means something different to HP than to everyone else. It seems to be that poweroff gets a response of "oh, you couldn't *possibly* want to turn me off! You just want me to restart!"

Why do you post this statement to this list? Also, poweroff does not mean for a server that it's not on power, it's just not started. BMC, fans etc. are running.
