Hi,

When I want to configure a printer, say an HP Deskjet 940, I install hplip, configure cupsd.conf, open up http://localhost:631 and configure the printer in the CUPS interface. Now whenever I want to print, I see that the selfsame printer is added again, and CUPS mentions it as "added by HAL".

Is there a way to stop this sort of behaviour?
