Hi Everyone,
A client has an email in Evolution with an attachment:
CNH_Specialized_Bid_Letter_Web_Ex_#1.doc
When the file is opened directly from Evolution, OOo Writer complains:
/home/rob/.evolution/cache/tmp/evolution-tmp-inF1Pe/CNH_Specialized_Bid_Letter_Web_Ex_ does not exist.
But, the user's Evolution temp cache has a copy of the file:
-rw-rw---- 1 rob rob 30208 Jun 23 00:43 CNH_Specialized_Bid_Letter_Web_Ex_#1.doc
This problem appears to be similar to this bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341482
It's not exactly the same: the effect is, though.
I want to see if the posted patch will work. But, I'm also wondering if this is on the upstream distro's radar for U4. I search their bugzilla - didn't find anything.
Anyone else run into this?
Regards,
Ranbir

May not be in line but...
The change I have seen is that the attachments now open as read only and if you try to do anything without first saving ...no deal!
I liked the earlier situation where I could drectly edit an incoming document and send it back as email attachment without having to save the attachment first and cluttering up my disk space.
