For some reason I cannot kickstart via pxe after installing a new SMC 48Port GigE switch.
I swapped out an old hub to test and kickstarting still works with the old hub.
Does anyone have any suggestions,

I assume this is a managed switch. This is most likely SpanTree biting you. You need to enable the equivalent of PortFast for ports on your switch that have hosts attached to it.
