Clearly not a CentOS question. ;-> Predictions belong on another list.
Most of the speculation on Google has been completely wrong in the past. Low margin hardware/systems is not where Google wants to go. But bundling their services is where they will go.

Let me refrase that, "bundling services is where they will _continue_ to go." Not so much of a prediction as status quo with Google's sound strategy. The OS doesn't matter anymore.
But yes, I added my own noise to the non-sense. ;->

FWIW, the Google Search Appliance runs RedHat 9.

Walmart is already bundling Linux as the OS on various systems. So what's new?

They entire Google architecture and infrastructure runs on Linux. Most Internet solutions do.
Again, what's new?
