Hi all,
Is it possible to run eclipse 3.1 on Centos 4?
When I tried, I got a JVM error and it bailed out.
Does it require anything special to run on Centos?
Best regards,
Francois

Francois,
Check out the Eclipse FAQ at http://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/faq/eclipse-faq.html#users_3
You need to download one of the supported Java SDKs. If you already have installed one of the supported SDKs, then make sure that version's java executable is the first one in your path. The default java on CentOS is a link to gcj which I don't think Eclipse supports.

Thanks Peter,
By using IBM JRE it is working now.
Thanks again for the advice,
Francois
