Anyone managed to get this working on CentOS 4? I'd love to hear how.

Hi Donavan,
This could easily be old news to you, but I check with a resource at Cisco and figured I would pass it along in case it's helpful. Cisco's site claims that their v2.1 driver should support LEAP (in fact, v2.1 added a new "LEAP retry button"). They claim support for 2.4 kernels (if you have firmware 350 5.30.17+), so you could be out of luck with CentOS 4. Unfortunately, I have not tried it with either kernel. Also, I believe it is different depending on the type of 350 card (mini-PCI, vs PCMCIA, etc.).

Ahh yes, I have a the PCMCIA version of the POS. I never got it work under CentOS 3 or any kernel 2.4. I just thought I'd ask if anyone else was stuck using old slow crap like this as well. And had managed to make it work on with CentOS 4. The FC people didn't have much in the way of ideas either.

works.... use default kernel module... then download latest Cisco linux utilities...
once the card is recognized and modules are loaded you can use the cli utilities from Cisco... i believe i use leapscript

I'm curious about that, too. I just downloaded and attempted to install the acu package from Cisco. When I did the "sh install" step, I got some missing dependencies:
Do you accept this license (y/n)? y ldcmd ldconfig Checking for libsigc++ ... libsigc++ not installed. Checking for gtkmm ... libgtkmm not installed.
I found libsigc++ on Dag's repository and installed it but didn't track down the source for libgtkmm yet. And when I retried the install (for kicks) I got the exact same errors so I don't think that the installation script found the library.
Thanks!

don't use the acu.. that is the key... you won't be able to do the firmware in linux ... might wanna do that on a windows system.... but using default kernel module and the cisco command line scripts/binaries will let you enter the leap info.... ... thanks
