I'm upgrading my colocated game server from Fedora Core 2 and was considering CentOS 5 for it. The principal game is Tribes 2, a native Linux port. Has anyone successfully run T2 on a recent version of CentOS, particularly 5? I'm mostly worried about library compatibility.

It's based off the Unreal 2 engine?
You will need to pull in compat-libstdc++ to get it to work if it's like Unreal Tournament 2K4. I would try it on a local server before hand just to be sure before upgrading.

No, it uses the Torque Game Engine from Garage Games.

Ok, I just don't want to have to stay with FC2 on a public server. ;) I'll have to try booting it from the CentOS Live CD and see how it does.
