Hi,
[root@c9 ~]# dnf install bind-dyndb-ldap Last metadata expiration check: 0:02:07 ago on Wed 03 Jul 2024 12:10:27 PM UTC. Error: Problem: cannot install the best candidate for the job - nothing provides bind >= 32:9.16.23-19 needed by bind-dyndb-ldap-11.9-9.el9.x86_64 from appstream (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)
Who is handling this?
Having the same issue here after an upgrade from CentOS 8-Stream to CentOS 9-Stream. How to solve that issue? Thanks a lot
I'm not certain how it made it past testing, but bind-dyndb-ldap-11.9-9.el9 [1] was built against bind-9.16.23-19.el9 [2] and was released, without bind being released.
I'm not in a position to check right now to see if it's already done. But someone needs to open a RHEL Jira issue against bind-dyndb-ldap.

Thanks, yes I thought there might be an issue. I do not have access to any RedHat accounts or possibility to open up an issue ticket at RedHat - however, I think the pressure will soon rise as soon as people start to update their CentOS systems and finding their freeIPA installations bricked. Lets hope for the best that this situation is resolved soon. Thanks a lot :)
I couldn't find another bug in jira about this, so I created a ticket/issue/bug for this problem. https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-54010
