Hi,
I've a nautilus problem with CentOS 4. It doesn't show the desktop items any more (also after dropping all gnome files/dirs from a users homedir) en the right mouse button menu also doesn't work.
Googling around I've found various items about the problem but until now not a clear solution. Some people mention some 'browser mode in nautilus preferences'. But I can't get there. Even if I login with a KDE desktop I can't launch nautilus (nothing happens).
Any ideas? I've SELinux enabled, I hope that's not related?
Cheers,

Does this problem happen for all users or one specific user?

Shouldn't effect the desktop

It seems to effect all users.

No one having the some prob? It's there when I just add a new user. No right mouse button menu clicking on the background. Not a working window when choosing Applications -> Preferences -> Desktop Background

Hi,
After having some time off, I'm still having this problem. It seems to be the same prob as the one descibed here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2005-June/msg01238.html
Any ideas?
[root@jelsum ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release CentOS release 4.1 (Final) [root@jelsum ~]# uname -vrm 2.6.9-11.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jun 8 17:54:20 CDT 2005 i686
Cheers,

I think I solved it. It seems the same as:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=122662
Removing the line
/dev/sda /mnt/memstick vfat noauto,user 0 0
from my /etc/fstab solves the prob.
Argh.
Cheers,
