This is what nvidia-settings gave me on the terminal window before it brought up its own (useless) window - anyone know what this means (or is it all related back to the other thread I posted on screensaver problems)?

ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA GPUs on ':0.0'.
ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA Frame Lock Devices on ': 0.0'.
ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA VCSCs on ':0.0'.

Yes, you're not using the nvidia module. You're using the nv module.
