I am trying to install Centos 5.3 on IBM x3650 with Adaptec based ServeRAID 8k
Just two disk in RAID 1
When trying boot with CD1 the booting process aborts with a kernel panic saying that some unknown-de and some message saying to use the correct 'root=' boot parameter.

Is this stuff real RAID or fakeraid?

Seems somebody had faced the similar error The only difference is the numbers in "unknown-block (8,3)."
