Guys, i have just installed ( after reading the docs on the mailscanner site and centos lists ) Mailscanner, and was wondering....
a.) How do i test my installation? is there some sample spam/ virus messages that can be used to test.
b.) MailScanner -V shows;
b.1)
LibClamAV Warning: ************************************************** LibClamAV Warning: *** The virus database is older than 7 days! *** LibClamAV Warning: *** Please update it as soon as possible. *** LibClamAV Warning: **************************************************
how do i update this database?
b.2) there are some modules missing; how do i iinstall them or do i ignore them
Module versions are: 1.00 AnyDBM_File 1.16 Archive::Zip 0.17 bignum 1.04 Carp 1.42 Compress::Zlib 1.119 Convert::BinHex missing Convert::TNEF <--- missing ?
2.121_08 Data::Dumper 2.27 Date::Parse 1.00 DirHandle 1.05 Fcntl
Optional module versions are:
1.30 Archive::Tar 0.17 bignum missing Business::ISBN <---- missing ?
missing Business::ISBN::Data missing Data::Dump 1.814 DB_File 1.14 DBD::SQLite 1.52 DBI 1.14 Digest 1.01 Digest::HMAC 2.36 Digest::MD5 2.11 Digest::SHA1 missing Encode::Detect missing Error missing ExtUtils::CBuilder missing ExtUtils::ParseXS

I think ClamAV updates itself via cron.
The modules you are missing can be installed from CPAN maybe yum or check Dag Wieers site.
