They are not in the yum packages. It would be great if they would, or is there a yum repository with it.

The point of CentOS is not to follow the latest; it is to replicate a GPL/FOSS long lived, enterprise stable distribution. You may be happier moving to the cAos development line, if your needs do not match the CentOS use design profile.
