Call you Redhat Sales person for info on how you might get access to RHEL5.3. The url you pointed to has only debuginfo packages ( symbols and such ) - it has nothing you can really install or use at the moment.

1. wait for a public beta 2. get a RHN account and download immediately.
There is some more info here https://www.redhat.com/archives/rhelv5-announce/2008-October/msg00000.html
Betas are not meant for production machines BTW or for upgrades to the final version.

Are you sure beta can be public ?

I just remember that I had an old RHN account, since RH7.0 as I remember. I reactivated it and I'm waiting for more information.

I know, I just want to test it as I can't start X with 5.2.

Just google for "Red Hat Releases RHEL 4 Public Beta". I'm not saying that this is the case here but you need to either have a RHN account with entitlements or to wait for a public beta (which may be unlikely for a point release).

If you are having problems with 5.2 then address these problems immediately without waiting for 5.3. How do you address them? File bugs or ask questions relating to your existing problem but 5.3 beta is unable to solve them automagically for you.

As I googled all the day to find some stuff about my problem, I didn't think to search about RHEL beta iso. The hardest is to ask the good question ;-)
Thanks, I've found link on Dag's blog! http://dag.wieers.com/blog/rhel-53-beta-released

And as I have a RHN account, YEAH!!! :-D

Bug reported yesterday: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=477708
I'll test it this week, but after Christmas
Thanks! Alain

Fix that problem, with what's available for CentOS 5.2. The motto here is, "if you break it, it is yours to fix". If you bring something into that system that breaks it, it will be your problem to resolve, by yourself.

That is the best advice you will get. Fix your problem. Use rpms that are recommended here. Don't break your system, fix it. Ask for ideas about how you can fix your problem. GL

I am a bug triager for RH Desktop team and I told Alan that it is most likely his problems will be solved automagically (well, through hard work of Dave Airlie) in 5.3. Unfortunately, Beta is not available. He has to wait until CentOS 5.3 happens.

I succeeded to download RHEL server 5.3 beta. If graphical installation succeeded, unfortunately, I was unable to restart the laptop. More info in the updated bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=477708#c5
Merry Christmas !

This is an Enterprise distro and it does not support the latest and greatest hardware, especially on Laptops. It is possible that this will not run properly on your laptop. If not, you may want to consider a bleeding edge distro, like Fedora or Ubuntu, which will probably support a lot more hardware.Try running a "Live CD", with whatever distro you contemplate using, to see if it will run on your HW, before installing.
Here's a page in the CentOS Wiki for reference: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops

This is me, Matěj, who thank you to help me in finding a solution to be able to use CentOS on my laptop. Of course, I agree to do all the tests mainteners would want.
