How many supported DNS IP addresses maybe configured in /etc/resolv.conf ? Is it only 3, or can I configure more?

This can be very dependant on the implementation, since there is no set limit on the specification.
In any case, there is no good reason to have more than 5.

I've always thought it was more or less infinite, or at least much greater than what you need anyway. Why 3 in particular? Do you have problems addind more?
