I've got a CentOS 4.3 distribution in nfs mount.
I'd like to be able to update that distribution, so that when I install off of it, I don't have to run yum update
for hours.
Hints? === Al

Put 4.4 on the nfs mount. Create a local yum repository for your machines from which to update, and change your CentOS-Base.repo file to point to the new local repo for base and updates packages as well as whatever else you choose to mirror. Dag's yam tool is excellent for this, though rsync or lftp's mirror function work quite well also.

I believe you mean mrepo, not yam. http://dag.wieers.com/home-made/mrepo/
GET IT RIGHT!
And yes, it is excellent for this.

Damn, I forgot he renamed it. I didn't get the memo, thanks for reminding me. I'll have the TPS reports to you shortly :-P
