I am looking to buy a small MB with dual NICs, but I woul like them to be supported directly by the stock kernel.
I remember that gigabit nics can be a problem. I think this one (http://www.jetway-mini-itx.com/j7f4-j7f4k1g5d.html) uses the RealteK RTL8110SC and if so (https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=45&topic_id=698... ode=threaded) might still be true.
Am I crazy for not using Centos5 or will Centos5 solve all my problems?

how about this miniITX based on the Intel G45 chipset, with Intel 82567LF NIC, which should be fully supported ? http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/DG45FC/DG45FC-overview.ht... use one of the low power C2D chips like the E7200....
oh, you said dual NICs. oops.
