Highpoint RocketRAID 2310(4 ports) or 2320(8 ports)
so this has a hardware xor processor?

which xor processor does it use? I have found no mention of it on highpoint's site nor anywhere else i have looked. Until i can verify that i'm assuming it fraid.

I don't see any mention of the XOR processor used on their web site or in the card's manual. When I get to the office in the morning, I'll pop the cover off one of the test systems and see if I can get any additional information by eyeballing a 2224 card itself.
Cheers,
I got an interesting off-list mail from Bryan that i htink explains the IO chip on the card. I'll see if i can get permission to post publically..:)

::sigh:: I do wish he would post to the list because he often provides very useful information. It's just a shame that sometimes it seems to result in a flame war.

I agree. I always loved reading his posts and one could get some really good information out of them.
