hi guys, after installing centos on my ml350 i found 2 choices on the grub options.
CENTOS-4 i386 (2.6.9-22.ELsmp) CENTOS-4 i386-up (2.6.9-22.EL)
what choice will i choose ?

smp is the kernel for multiprocessor systems, so if you have more than one processor or if you want to use one processor with HT then this is the choice.
CENTOS-4 i386-up (2.6.9-22.EL)
this is the centos up (uni-processor) kernel. Use this if you have one processor or if you have problems with the smp one.

The first kernel that indicates "smp" in the name is for machines with multiple processors. The second one is the same version of the kernel, but it is for single processor machines. By the fact that both were installed, it seems to indicate that your machine has multiple processors (or a hyperthreaded processor) and as such you should use the first one.
