Sam, I don't think clamav is part of centos. I ended up using Karanbir's Centos Extras repo (centos.karan.org I believe).

You are probably correct Alex. I do have the extras repo enabled.

Hmmm. Now I am confused. I guess I just realized that there is an "extras" repo in the stock CentOS yum config. I used the repo file that I retrieved from the above URL. There are not the same are they?
