A second option is to install rdate (if its not already there) and run
rdate -s [timeserver] - one is KERBEROS.MIT.EDU

You can add it to /etc/rc.d/rc.local to make it start at bootup.

An easy way is to put in crontab a script like this: #!/bin/sh /usr/bin/rdate -s <IP time server You wont> sleep 10 /sbin/hwclock --systohc
Sure the best solution is to install and configure ntp.
A good public time server list is here: http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mills/ntp/servers.html
