I need to make a new driver disk, so I need to install the src.rpm for the initial centos4 install kernel, kernel-2.6.9-5.0.3.EL.
However upon browsing around the mirrors, in the 4.0 directories, I find only 2.6.9-11.EL kernels and source? What's going on here -- am I looking in the wrong place? I would expect to see 2.6.9-11.EL in the 4.0/updates directories, not in the 4.0/os. I would expect 4.0/os to have the packages that correspond to the initial release. Since there are no src ISO (right?), I can't grab the kernel-2.6.9-5.0.3.EL.src.rpm from there either.
Where can I find it?
Thanks,

I managed to find a copy in the 4.0beta/updates directory on beta.centos.org:
http://beta.centos.org/centos/4.0beta/updates/SRPMS/kernel-2.6.9-5.0.3.EL.sr...
However, the question still remains. Why don't the 4.0/os directories contain the kernel packages (source and binary) for the version installed by the 4.0 ISOs?

The mirrors don't actually contain 4.0... not sure why it's still there. For the older releases you have to check the vault. Vault is the retirement community for centos packages.
