Last time I was on Karanbir mentioned Puppet, -what do you all think of Cobbler?
I plan to deploy one of the suggestions this week since it looks like i'll be dealing with 2000 centos systems instead of the few hundred I had predicted.

It's not either or. Cobbler manages the installation infrastructure (kickstart files, repos, pxebooting, etc). Puppet is a configuration and management scripting language. The idea would be to use cobbler + puppet (or cfengine, or similar) to either customize the builds, or manage them after they are built.
