Anyone tried installing centos 4.2 on an compaq R4000?

The CD boots, I hit enter, starts uncompressing the kernel detects my disks (last thing I see) then the screen is BLANK.

I tried "linux text" also and exact same thing happens.

I found the "linux nofb" boot option, seems to have helped alot.
