I am considering purchasing a color laser printer for my network and would appreciate some feedback.
I have looked at the following: Konica/Minolta 2430DL HP 2600N
Can anyone tell me how well they work and are supported by cups as a network laser printing solution?
TIA

Wait... people other than HP make printers?
Seriously though, HPs printer support for linux is excellent.

http://www.linuxprinting.org should point you in the right direction.

Thanks, I never seem to think about linuxprinting.org.

I agree. To make your life simpler, you might want to make sure whatever printer you settle on supports postscript. Some of the lower end HP's don't. I'm not sure where the 2600N fits in the current HP food chain. My 4500N seems to work OK.
Cheers,

It's not laser, but I'm a big fan of our Xerox Phaser 8400, which is a solid ink printer. It's PS and supports IPP, so it integrates *very* easily with CUPS.

Solid ink as in dye-sub?

No -- think melting crayons. The prints look *great*, and it's fast, too.

---- wax - and I call this 'shake and bake' because the TekTronics Phasers always vibrated so much.

The 8400 doesn't.
