I recently spent 2 days fighting with a bug in CentOS 4 relating to the PSP for RHEL4.
I am still putting the details together, but there is definitely a bug that impacts the Qlogic 2214 HBA driver under CentOS 4, but not RHEL 4.
That being said, I was able to install PSPs on a DL580 G2 under Centos 3 and 4 by changing redhat/centos-release.

I am trying to install the HP PSP on a CentOS 3.4 server but it keeps telling me, only on certain rpms mind you, that the OS is not supported. I have made the modifications to redhat-release which cleared up some of the initial errors I was having but not all. Where else would the rpms be getting the OS info from? Better yet, has anyone managed to get the Linux PSP to install on a CentOS box?

I have the things installed now however the box has dual nics with ip's assigned to both and the System Management Homepage is binding to the wrong IP. I tried to manually set the IP in what I believed was the config for it under hpsmp but it reset's the IP back to 127.0.0.1 and then binds to the incorrect IP again. The only thing I can think of is shutdown the nic it is currently binding to and then set it back up again and see if it picks up the correct on.
Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks Chris
