You might need to look around to see who has it packaged for CentOS3/EL3

Dag's package works well for me on CentOS 4 http://dag.wieers.com/packages/graveman/ it is packaged for fc2,3,4,5 and el4, I haven't been able to compile from the src.rpm for fc1, maybe it will for el3. The only problem I've had is it doesn't detect verbatim pocket cd-rw, so I use k3b for that.
on another (offtopic) subject, I get the list in digest, does anyone know how I can get my replies to go in the right thread? can I get specific messages resent to me or something so I can reply and have it work right?

That was my stupid web mail reader. My apologies.
I finally spent a full evening playing with 6 different web mail services. I settled on Yahoo Mail Plus. There should be no more threading issues as a result. ;->

Doh! I should have read a little closer! You were talking about the digests. Sorry, I've been apologizing on a few lists for using a broken mail reader in the past.
Now as far as your delimma, yeah, I've been in the same boat. About the only thing you can do is manually insert the Message-ID into you reply's header. But most digests don't pass along the Message-ID, so you don't have it to use in the first place.
I've never come up with a workaround, hence why I typically don't get digests. Pretty much the only ones I do get digests on are the heavily traffic'd Fedora lists.
