I've had a machine (dual Opteron 2218) on test with VMware 1.2 and Centos 5 beta for about a week. Rock solid so far :)

If you mean version 1.0.2, yes, I'm using it on CentOS 5 beta.

I've tested it (vmware-server 1.0.2) on several CentOS 5 machines (starting from beta to final) and i didn't see any problems ... The only difference between CentOS 4.x and 5 is that vmware-server doesn't contain a pre-build module for vm modules (vmnet) ... but that's the only diff i've seen ... I suppose Vmware will release a 1.0.3 that will contain such ready-to-go module for rhel 5 kernel to avoid compiling such module on the vmware server ...
That's good to know. Thanks.

No, but I successfully use VMware Workstation 6.0 beta ... in case you wanted to know. _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
