Hi,
I have centos 5.3 with only text console only not X server, now I try install solaris 10 at xen with full virtualization (hvm) Now I have some like "zombie domain"
Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 2998 2 r----- 33.5 solekhvm 1024 1 0.0 solekhvm2 1024 1 0.0 solekhvm3 1024 0 0.4
How I can to kill this? If I reboot the server it doesn't help.
virt-install -n solekhvm3 --ram 1024 --hvm --disk path=/dev/vol1/solek --vnc --cdrom /dev/cdrom --os-variant solaris10 --force
Runing instalation... Create domain... | 0 B 00:01
(virt-viewer:3883): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
Is any option to create a domain without a X server? Redirect X to another server?
For@ll
xm destroy domainname`? xm delete domainname? ##
xen 3.4 is not centos default... better ask @ xen maillinglist

Hi,
I have a question about config file, if I create a guest bu using a virt-install, where the config is saved? I would like edit the config and add second disk to the virtual machine.
When the root machine is a reboot, the all guest is running automatically, I was looking in /etc/xen/ but ther I can't find.

Try posting on the xen list for a better answer.
I found that the configs are managed by xend and are in;
/var/lib/xend/domains/uuid-of-your-domU/config.sxp.
The config format is somewhat diff now so I would get used to it, its good to have an extended toolset anyways. And what I mean by toolset is what's in your head.
However if you use xm to create domUs, then /etc/xen/ is were you would find them.
Unsure why it was changed and why both ways use diff syntax.

What xen list would that be?
http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos-virt deals with Xen and other methods of virtualization.
xen-users@lists.xensource.com
might as well go to the source.
