List,
I googled on this, and despite getting some hits (due more to the terms performance and tuning I think than anything) I was unable to locate useful links for actual software.
I'm seeking software that will run on CentOS (or really any linux install period) that will assist me in testing and tuning my vehicle. I'm involved in import racing and would like to glean as much information from my car as possible while making modifications. Any ideas?
Sincerely

It really depends on what you're tuning. If you're into Audi/VW/Porsche I might be able to give you a hand. Drop me a note off-list. However, none of the available tools I've seen run under Linux. They're all Windows-based programs.
Also, be *really* careful messing around with engine management software. Seemingly innocuous changes can cause a dramatic (and expensive) amount of damage if you don't know what you're doing.
Good luck!
Chris

Same here. I bought an OBD-II to RS232 serial adapter but all the software I found that actually worked was Windows :-(
All I was able to do was read codes and reset the ECU. For real performance tuning, you need an ECU that can be adjusted on the fly or reflashed.
Same offer, if you're into WRXs, email me offlist.

Thanks to both of you for your answers. I'm currently doing some research into the matter. While I wait for my engine to get put into the vehicle.
Sincerely
