Can someone point me to some documentation on how to set up centos 5.0 as an iscsi target? I'm completely new to iscsi so need something basic.

I've used IET (iSCSI Enterprise Target) before in just a quick test. Compilation was quick and easy, configuration was a breeze. I had no working knowledge of iSCSI before I had attempted this.

If you don't need to use it as a server for anything else (like applications, webserver, etc.), you may want to look at OpenFiler <www.openfiler.com> instead of Centos. I've had very good success with running it on dedicated iSCSI target.

for now, you will need to use an external app like the iet.sf.net thats already been pointed out by Timothy, however CentOS-5.1 ( due mid/end sept ) will have a built in iscsi target app that you can use out of the box.

Thanks!
