Hi,
I seem to be going round in circles trying to install php-gtk for Agata on a CentOS 4.4 installation - the configure keeps falling out with:
checking for libglade-config... no checking for libglade... no configure: error: Unable to locate libglade
I have installed libglade 1.99 and 2.01 directly from rpm but something's not meeting up.
Is there a nice, yum-type install for libglade and php-gtk - I can't seem to find any in the usual places!?
Failing that, any pointers??
Thanks

You're aware that you also need the -devel rpms if you want to compile against those libs?

libglade is in kbs-CentOS-Misc, php-gtk is nowhere to be found.
Cheers,

Don't top post, please.
checking for libglade-config... no checking for libglade... no configure: error: Unable to locate libglade
Then you probably installed the wrong versions.

Sorry for upsetting people by top posting - you'll get over it!!!
Thanks for the replies - I had already downloaded the rpms for libglade* manually from kbs-CentOS-Misc but I did them again using yum and I seem to be Ok compiling php-gtk now.
Ready for the next dependency now....

Where did you get these rpms from? The versions you're listing don't match what's in CentOS 4.4
Also, libglade2 provides the library, but not the means to build against it. You need to install libglade2-devel if you wish to build against it.

Looks like he needs the one for gtk+ - as php-gtk2 is still in alpha I think he needs php-gtk ...
Ralph
