I grabbed the torrent off of one of the iso mirrors, but it is coming down so slow - I have to wonder if the torrent file is the incorrect one for the bad file mentioned on the list earlier.
Would someone be kind enough to point me to a mirror with a known good torrent file?

You should be able to check the tracker, make sure its on .centos.org
Here are the sha1sum's for the right .torrent files:

( apologies for the word wrap - I am sure you can still make sense of it )

nevermind - that was md5 not sha1 - my file was good, guess it's just slow right now. _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
This is why I don't like, or trust torrents, you never know when someone has tampered with it.
But... That's what the checksums are for. Don't you trust them?

Just as an FYI, there *seems* to be some small difference in the specifications of the torrent files for the 1to6 and DVD. I shutdown and rebooted the system, ran this command
export SD=/media/BkUp_4_51/shared/CentOS/Current cd $SD rtorrent \ -s $SD \ -o key_layout=qwerty,peer_exchange=yes,dht=on \ *.torrent
Since I'm seeding, download is not an issue. But the peer_exchange is different in the two torrents. From the UI for 1to6
Transfer list Peer exchange: enabled active (8/8)
and for the DVD
Transfer list Peer exchange: enabled inactive (0/8)
This diference has been consistent. I don't know if it has a(n) (in)direct effect on the download speeds. But since another person mentioned slow download, I thought it might be a relevant data point.

HTH
I got mine down at 10-12Mbps at work, and nearly as fast at home. And that was yesterday when supposedly everybody and their dogs were downloading 5.2. OTOH, that might be why it went so fast... 8-)
Are you sure your ISP doesn't cap/stop/whatever p2p generally? If you are, what kind of settings have you set in your bt-client? What bt-client are you using? What bandwidth do you have access to?
In any case, I usually seed mine more or less indefinitely.
The mirror lists at centos.org are rather good. If they don't work for you, well, check above.

My ISP caps bt to ~ 20K/s - I'm seeing about half of that right now. When 5.1 shipped, I saw the full 20K/s within a few minutes of starting the client.
