Hello.
I tried update but have some connection breaks and I would like download only packages and when all will be downloaded install them.
I tried --download-only feature but is not accepted in thiss version of Yum.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

I don't think it is possible with yum, at least with the version shipped on CentOS 4.
You can try installing apt, and using the -d flag.

Thanks Rodrigo, I think I will set up my own updates mirror with wget.

I think I've found another answer.
Check for yumdownloader from the yum-utils package. It seems to be what you are looking for.

AFAIK there are two solutions: * install the yum-downloadonly plugin (I think centos.karan.org has it) * (quick'n dirty fix) hit ctrl-c when it has started downloading, this will make it 1) try another mirror, and 2) stop after downloading
..obviously I'll just sit back and drink my coffe if yum eats your children or makes your root-fs emulate /dev/random ;-), but both ways have worked for me in the past.
