Hai i have installed a new centos server and i am planning to use this machine as my gateway and restrict the usage of the certain websites. So i guess basically i am trying to use this machine as my firewall. So could any one guide me on this. How to achieve this. *

You probably want to run a transparent proxy. Google that.

Take a look at squid proxy server (http://www.squid-cache.org/) and squidguard (http://www.squidguard.org/). Both are available in the CentOS repositories.

Take a look at squid proxy server (http://www.squid-cache.org/) and squidguard (http://www.squidguard.org/). Both are available in the CentOS repositories.
Dansguardian is pretty good, as well, and also works in conjunction with Squid.

And you can also use calamaris, sarg or lightsquid for tracking the web usage.
