Whether I like it or not I need to get a version of PHP that is greater than 5.2.1 as the latest SugarCRM version require this and as I am a module developer I need to have one of the later versions of PHP on my machines.
Does anyone know of a reliable and good archive for PHP that provides higher versions than the ones supplied by the upstream provider?
Thanks Jobst

+1 with EPEL this is what I use on my systems too (but disable the repo after installation since they update fast)
Check the centosextra's repo.

I'm sorry, I meant the 'c5-testing' repo.

I did not say that, did I? I did say SugarCRM 5.5 requires PHP 5.2.1 and up and as the last version of PHP I can get for CentOS 5.4 is 5.1.6.23 I cannot install SugarCRM 5.5.
But yes, you are somehow correct, with that I cannot install latest SugarCRM on a stock system.
