All,
We are currently testing a new update system that will dynamically
generate mirrorlists for CentOS updates.
http://www.centos.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=118
This system will be making more extensive use of external CentOS
mirrors, so if you are providing a CentOS mirror, expect that the
utilization of your mirror by CentOS users will go up after we move this
system out of testing and into production in the next couple of days.
We have also redesigned our web page for Mirrors, and we would like to
include a link to your personal/business website if you are providing a
CentOS mirror.
Please send a link that you would like to have people visit (and your
mirror name) and we will put it on the new page.

Hey.
Just though I would point this out. There is a misspelt word in the news article.
"This system is now live. If you update your sytem ..."
sytem = system
btw: glad to see this new program live.

Wow, this is an exciting step for Centos.

Hello,
The Versaweb CentOS mirror is back online - really this time. We will
be sync'ing 4 times daily, and have a full mirror of all
releases/versions on dual gigabit connectivity. We have moved our
datacenter to Las Vegas, NV, so you will probably want to update our
location on the mirror list to reflect that change.
http://mirrors.versaweb.net/centos/ftp://mirrors.versaweb.net/centos/
Also, can you please update our link on the public mirrors site? It
should appear as follows:
Versaweb Hosting Services --> http://www.versaweb.net
We would also like to donate the use of a server to the project - I'll
contact the appropriate email address for that as well.
Thanks!
