Setting up a Public Mirror with DVDs

I have browsed the mailing list for the answer, but have not found an official answer. I have configured a machine to be a public mirror and I want to host DVD isos along with everything else. I have started rsync'ing from msync.centos.org::CentOS, but I don't get DVD isos. I am using the following command: #rsync -aqzH --delay-updates --delete msync.centos.org::CentOS /xraid1/web/mirror/centos/ To which server should I connect and what should the command look like in order to get the DVD isos? I have seen postings defining it like this: <server>::CentOS-incdvd but it didn't seem to work with msync.centos.org. Am I doing something wrong? If I need permission, the IP address of the server is 141.161.54.167. Thanks for your help. Jess

SWITCHmirror now with DVDs as well

Could you please update the list of mirrors to add 'yes' to SWITCHmirror (mirror.switch.ch) in the 'Direct DVD Downloads' column? BTW: Perhaps you could add some text on the 'CentOS Mirroring HowTo' page on why DVDs are not currently available from the masters. I had to dig into the mail archive to find the answer. A suggestion for the upcoming multi-tier mirroring system: Make DVD the default and make the many CDs (1ofX) optional. Perhaps to exclude one or the other easily, place them in uniquely named separate subdirectories. New mirror in Japan

Hi All, I set up new mirror in Japan. Our information is for the following: - URLs: ftp://ftp.kddilabs.jp/Linux/packages/CentOS/ http://www.ftp.ne.jp/Linux/packages/CentOS/ rsync://rsync.kddilabs.jp/centos/ (IPv4 and IPv6 are available for all protocols.) - Update: 4 times per day. - Location: Saitama, JAPAN - Bandwidth: 200Mbps - Organization: KDDI R&D Laboratories Inc. (http://www.kddilabs.jp/english/index.html) - Contact: admin(a)ftp.ne.jp Our server has the DVD ISO images. However, I would like to mirror the files from the master server with the DVD ISO images. (I get the files from other mirror server now.) Please send me the mirror information with the DVD ISO images. If the registration of ACL is needed, please add our server address, 192.26.91.193. New Mirror

Hello All, I setup a mirror on my server at: http://designwaveaudio.com/centos. As of now it is only HTTP, but other protocols will be added soon, hopefully. Mirror not showing up in mirror-status.centos.org

Hi, I run the mirrors.combinetworks.com mirror, and just noticed when going to http://mirror-status.centos.org that my mirror is not in the list. I had noticed that the mirror server had not been getting very much traffic. Could that be the cause? Are peoples yum instances etc. possibly not using my mirror because of that? Either way if you could add me into the mirror status list that would be great. Cheers, Phil Evans.

Hi List, Any idea how long it takes to get in the list of the public mirrors ? http://centos.weepee.org and ready to rumble .... (http access only) We would also like to mirror the DVD images ... but i digged the list and it seems we need special access for such ... adding us to that list would be most appriciated, regards,

Another Australian mirror?

Given that most of our business has been built on CentOS, we would like to open this mirror up to the world to give something back. We are carrying all architectures of versions 3 4 5 and currently have the DVDs as well. The mirror is available over both IPv4 and IPv6.
