Well, This is better targeted at the list, as I just host a private mirror, and I'm not the person to talk to. However, It does look like your mirror is already listed and up to date. Only reason I could see it being listed lower is because its considered low bandwidth (OC3 or lower). The list would have more info, Which I have CC'ed them in on this. mirror question

I see that 5.4 is out but I'm not seeing any traffic going to our mirror: mirrors.gigenet.com, are there any issues with our mirror? I checked the mirror status page and all looks good however we are seeing no downloads and don't seem to be included on the downloads page. -Ross

Rsync Issues

So, I'm having a problem over the past few days with getting 5.4 onto the Clarkson mirror for release. In the past, I've always synced with mirrors.rit.edu for CentOS since it was always reliable, it was the closest mirror to Clarkson, and because I'm unable to pull CentOS from the master rsync pool due to bandwidth limitations. Recently, I've changed my rsync to a private mirror at the University of Utah because David Richardson set it up to allow our mirror access to download new releases prior to the official release date. The issue that has arisen since 5.4 started to be pushed out is that my mirror has downloaded and deleted it 3 times so far and I'm trying to avoid it doing so again. I even changed back to mirrors.rit.edu at one point but noticed that RIT was experiencing the same issue of the 5.4 directory being deleted. As of right now, it looks like the Utah mirror ( mirror.chpc.utah.edu) is experiencing the same issue again since all of the ISOs are missing, even though they were there last night. Has anyone else seen this occur on their mirrors over the last few days? Can someone verify that all of the servers in the master pool have 5.4 on them correctly? I'd like to have us ready for the official release but at the moment I've killed my updates until I know 5.4 won't be deleted off our mirror again. Also, can I be added to the ACL for CentOS-incdvd? New Mirror specs

Hi, This is surely a FAQ, but I could not find the answer anywhere. What are the needs in terms of disk space for a CentOS mirror? I understand that we can choose to carry DVD images or not, but can we choose to carry only some archs and/or releases? And in this cases, are there already any measures on disk space needed? Is there some expectancy on how this will increase over time? I hope to set up a new 1Gbps mirror (inside a 20Gbps backbone) in Brazil ASAP, but first I need to get these and some other answers to convince the bureaucrats. ;-) Regards, Jonny

Approx Mirror BW Usage
