Hi Fabian, It only took a few additional DNS records to achieve this, which took me no more than 5 minutes to do. It is essentially a private mirror network that is centrally managed. I guess to answer your question, the only reason that I am also doing it is because it was not much effort for me to do. If there are any concerns, do let me know. I'm afraid we are losing our ability to maintain our public CentOS mirror as we were acquired by Involta and they have pulled my resources used for our mirror, regardless of my rational pleading.
