Direct DVD ISO rsync access for CentOS Mirror of Bangladesh

Dear Tru Greetings from Bangladesh. We are serving DVD ISO with FULL CentOS Mirror for Bangladesh & Asia. We have done the initial sync from other site with very low bandwidth. Still using same Tire2 Mirror to get sync data, which making my sync process too slow. Also I can see a lot of DVD ISO request around the world on my server log. Seems this is one of DVD ISO serving site, people like to download from here. Though I am one of Tire1 Mirror and having DVD ISO, I can't use CentOS master sync server with --delete option. If you please allow IP: 116.212.104.92 for direct rsync access to CentOS Master server with DVD ISO, it will very helpful for me. Thanks and waiting for a positive reply. Getting a mere started.

hi; I have a server in london, and right now have about 500GB of bandwidth a month i can donate to the mere project. I know this isn't that much, however if it can help i would be willing to. I want to know a few things. I'm new to this so what do i have to do? How do i do this and get it set up? Also i use directadmin on my server, can i create cron with this? CentOS Mirror

Server Reconfig -- Additional Bandwidth Available

Hi Tru, We recently reconfigured our servers and have more bandwidth to share with CentOS.org. We currently see 800 GBytes of CentOS traffic per month and about half of this is downloading DVDs. Our current configuration allows for more than double this amount of traffic for CentOS. Please feel free to direct additional traffic our way as you have the need. Here are a couple of ideas that might help you out with this: (1) Should we turn the DVD flag to Yes here: http://www.centos.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=13 (2) We don't seem to appear in the following list: http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=x86_64&repo=os&cc=us Please feel free to implement whatever you believe will be most helpful to the project. I've noticed that my mirror has had new CentOS 4 kernel rpms for a few days but no corresponding headers. Just wondering whether this is intentional or an oversight :) Thanks, Mike

Average Monthly Transfer used?

Hey Everyone, I'm a newbie to the list, not sure if this topic has been covered before but was about to establish a CentOS mirror to support what has helped me out tremendously in the last few months. On Average, how much does a standard mirror pull per month in transfer? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. DVD Availability from Centos Mirror of Bangladesh

Dear Tru I am really happy to anounce the DVD ISO availibility via 'HTTP' protocol from CentOS Mirror Server in Bangladesh, hosted by Bangladesh Network Informatrion Center (http://www.bdnic.net/) Initial DVD iso sync has been done. Thanks to Romanian Education Network, Iasi Branch ( http://www.iasi.roedu.net/) for their bandwidth support for initial DVD download. But at this time, this DVD iso is only limited for 'Bangladeshi User'. We will try our best to get enough bandwidth from our Data Center to support others in very near future. At this moment, our RSYNC script syncing from Romanian Education Server, I would like to request Master Mirror Maintainer to allow us to SYNC from master server. As we use '--delete' option, If I change my script to master mirror, DVD IOS will gone:( Our IP address is: 116.212.104.70 which use to sync from master. Hope this IP will include in your ACL to allow future SYNC. Waiting for a posative reply. By the way, this is one and only CentOS Mirror Server for Bangladesh and we are hosting FULL mirror of CentOS Project. Thanks to all for supporting CentOS Project.
