Hi, this mirror has now been added and you can now rsync from
rsync://msync.centos.org/CentOS/
Thanks!

Hi,
While we already implemented that change a long time ago, it seems that
(based on discussions I had with Anssi), some people are still using
eu-msync.centos.org or us-msync.centos.org as hostnames in their scripts
(and sometimes using one as fall back of the other one)
That doesn't make sense anymore as those records were switched some time
ago to be CNAME of just msync.centos.org :
dig +short +noshort eu-msync.centos.org
eu-msync.centos.org. 600 IN CNAME msync.centos.org.
dig +short +noshort us-msync.centos.org
us-msync.centos.org. 600 IN CNAME msync.centos.org.
msync.centos.org is itself delegated to our PDNS setup, using GeoIP,
that will answer A/AAAA record (from a validated list of nodes in the
msync pool) based on your location.
As said, that was already updated a long time ago, but it seems I forgot
to send the announce email for this (even if all continued to work, with
the CNAME setup, and we'll still keep those, in case people don't read
this list, and so are still using those names to sync from)
Kind Regards,

Hi, these IP addresses have now been added to the ACL and you can now
rsync from your new cluster. As for us-msync/eu-msync, both of those are
currently CNAMEs to a GeoIP-backed msync.centos.org, so the fallback
isn't particularly effective. You can find more details about that in
the announcement:

Hi, to be listed as a public mirror the mirror should be accessible from
the outside.. but..
$ curl -v http://acesso.usetelecom.com.br/centos/TIME
* Could not resolve host: acesso.usetelecom.com.br; Unknown error
* Closing connection 0
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: acesso.usetelecom.com.br; Unknown error
$ rsync -4 rsync://usetelecom.com.br/centos/
rsync: failed to connect to usetelecom.com.br (104.27.29.100):
Connection timed out (110)
rsync: failed to connect to usetelecom.com.br (104.27.28.100):
Connection timed out (110)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(125)
[Receiver=3.1.2]
Additionally, 104.27.x.x are Cloudflare IP addresses. I don't think
that's going to work.
I'm afraid I can't add this mirror until I'm able to verify that it's OK.

No need to submit your mirror twice, and you haven't fixed the issues
found by Anssi , for which he replied to your original mail : it's still
NXDOMAIN for that fqdn/http host, and the rsync target isn't reachable
and is also being cloudflare ?
