Hello,
We have setup a new, public CentOS mirror that is hosted at our data center in Orlando, FL.
HTTP: http://repo.dimenoc.com/pub/centos FTP: ftp://repo.dimenoc.com/pub/centos RSYNC: rsync://repo.dimenoc.com/pub/centos
Sync schedule: Every 6 hrs Bandwidth: 1Gb/s Space: 2TB Location: Orlando, FL, US Sponsor: Hostdime.com, Inc. IP to whitelist: 198.136.51.252
Please let me know if any further info is needed.
Hi guys,
Any chance this can get added as an official mirror?
Thank you!
Hi Daniel, Fabian can take a couple days to get mirrors added to the list, so just be patient and wait for a response :)

Hi Daniel, as announced last week (http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-mirror-announce/2014-June/000015.ht...), we entered a "frozen" time due to the 7 release. I'll process all new mirror proposals when 7 will be released to all known/public mirrors and that the msync network will be stabilized.
Cheers,
Hi Fabian,
Thanks for your response and explanation.
Is there any way we can get our IP whitelisted on the msync servers in the meantime?

We have a .centos.org machine hosted out of the same DC ( its donated by some of the hostdime folks, perhaps a different department ). I would recommend just using that machine for the time being.
Typically, we dont like people hitting a single machine since we cant gurantee what role its going to be deployed in at the time, but in this case, if you needa high speed mirror local inside the DC, it might be best to just use that.
If this works for you, we can workout the hostname etc offlist privately.
Hi Karan,
That would work perfectly - contacting you off list.
Sorry for the spam folks :-)

Thanks : it has been added to the mirrors DB and will normally be listed as a public mirror (and on mirror-status.centos.org / http://centos.org/download/mirrors/ ) in the following hours. Your IP has been whitelisted (check that it's working in the following hour)
Cheers,
