Das ist immer ein guter Ansatz. Deshalb mache ich hier mal weiter. Ich
hoffe die Antwort hilft Dir, obwohl midi in Verbindung mit realtime
nicht wirklich die Themen sind, mit denen ich mich sonst befasse.

Das hört sich für mich so an, als ob midi in realtime ohne reboot
möglich sei. "yum search TiMidity++" ergibt bei mir:
timidity++.i386 : A software wavetable MIDI synthesizer.
Das Programm sollte also für CentOS per repository zu haben sein.
