Fedora uses FedOAuth (now merged into Ipsilon) which does both the authentication and authorization. Ipsilon supports other backend that FAS such as ldap as well as local username/password/groups store (in a local DB). So you could use it with one backend now and move to something else later once you have made your choice. Pierre
