My vote (if there is indeed a vote) would be to keep the version 
numbering in line with RHEL

Having different core OS version numbering schemes between CentOS and 
RHEL will cause too much confusion for organisations that run both 
and/or deal with third party suppliers of applications for RHEL/CentOS

Please keep the one-to-one match of $major.$minor release numbering with 
RHEL
